With the general cost of living increasing all the time and rising petrol and road tax costs we`ve certainly seen a change in customers attitudes when buying a new or pre-owned car. More and more people are now focused on the cars exhaust emmissions, fuel economy and road tax bands.
With new road tax bands coming in April 2009 lower emmission cars are rewarded still with reduced prices where as higher emmission cars are penalised with increases up to £440 per year and its not just 4x4 or sports cars but more and more family cars are falling into these higher band. The current £35 road tax (band b) will be reduced to £30 in the new year or as little as £20 in some cases.
